SR announces special trains

Chennai, Nov 1 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Railways R Velu has ordered to run special trains on Chennai Egmore- Thiruvananthapuram and Chennai Central-Coimbatore sections to clear the extra rush of passengers on November 3 and 5.

A Southern Railway press release said here today the Chennai Egmore-Thiruvananthapuram Special would leave here at 23.00 hrs on November 3 and arrive Thiruvananthapuram at 16.00 hrs the next day.

Similarly, a special train would leave here at 23.00 hrs on November 5 and arrive Thiruvananthapuram at 16.00 hrs the next day.

These trains would stop at Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Tindivanam, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchchirappalli, Dindigul, Kodaikanal Road, Madurai, Tirumangalam, Virudunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti, Vanchi Maniyachchi, Tirunelveli and Nagercoil.

The Coimbatore-Chennai Central special would leave Coimbatore at 23.30 hrs on November 3 and arrive Chennai Central at 08.00 hrs the next day.

The train would stop at Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Katpadi, Arakkonam and Perambur, the release added.
