PPPAC approves ten highway projects

New Delhi, Nov 2 (UNI) Public Private Partnership Appraisal Committee (PPPAC) has approved nine highway projects with an investment of Rs 4439 crore under the National Highway Development Programme (NHDP) III A.

The projects proposals were received from National Highway Authority of India (NHAI). The PPAC gave its nod to these projects yesterday.

With this, PPPAC has, so far, approved the following ten highway projects of NHAI involving a total investment of more than Rs 5,000 crore as also a port sector project: (1) Setting up of Iron ore handling facilities on BOT basis at New Mangalore Port, Karnataka at Rs 103 crore; (2) Construction of Six and Four Laning of Delhi- Haryana Border to Rohtak Section of NH-10 form KM 29.70 to Km 87.00, including construction of Bahadurgarh and Rohtak Bypasses under NHDP Phase IIIA on BOT basis in Haryana at a cost of Rs 480 crore; (3) Construction of Access Controlled Highways from 10/0 Km to 29/5 Km of Bangolore section of NH-4 on BOT basis, Karnataka, cost Rs 380 crore; (4) Four Laning of Nelamangala Junction on NH-4 with NH-48 to Devihalli under NHDP phase III A on BOT basis in Karnataka at a cost of Rs 441 crore; (5) Widening of Existing 2 Lane carriageway to 4/6 lane divided carriageway configuration of Bangalore - Hoskate - Mulbagal section of NH-4 under NHDP phase III A on BOT basis in Karnataka (6) Four Laning of Devilalli Hassan Section of NH- 48 under NHDP phase III A on BOT basis, Karnataka, cost Rs 440 crore; (7) Four Laning from Junction of NH-68 with NH-7 near Salem to Junction of NH-68 with NH-45 near Ulundrupet under NHDP Phase III A on BOT, Tamil Nadu, cost Rs 941 crore; (8) Four Laning from Trichy city of NH-45 to Dindigul on NH-45 under NHDP Phase III A on BOT basis Four Laning from Trichy city of NH-45 to Dindigul on NH-45 under NHDP Phase III A on BOT basis, Tamil Nadu, cost Rs 576 crore; (9) Four Laning of Trichy city Junction with NH-45 B on NH-67 to Karur on NH-67 under NHDP Phase III A on BOT basis, Tamil Nadu, cost Rs 516 crore; (10) Four Laning of Pondicherry to Tindivanam on NH-66 under NHDP Phase III A on BOT basis, Tamil Nadu, cost Rs 285 crore.

(11) Six / Four Laning of Zirakpur - Parwanoo section of NH-22 including Pinjore -Kalka - Parwanoo bypass under NHDP Phase III A on BOT basis, Himachal Pradesh, cost Rs 295 crore.
