Online application system in PSC

Kottayam, Nov 2 (UNI) The Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC), the country's largest recruiting agency, is introducing on line application system.

Talking to newspersons here, PSC chairman K V Salahudeen said the system would be implemented by January. Following computerisation, the performance of the commission had been streamlined. Efficiency and transparency had been improved. Steps were being taken to publish the rank list within six month of notification of vacancies, he said.

In reply to a question, the chairman said it was a fact that all vacancies were not being reported to the PSC. As a change, following direction from the government, some 16,000 vacancies were reported to the PSC during the past three to four months.

As part of the on going golden jubilee celebrations of the PSC a symposium on 'PSC and Civil Service' would be held here on November 4. Former Kerala High Court Chief Justice M M Pareethu Pillai would inaugurate the symposium.
