Nikkei slides as techs decline, TDK lower

TOKYO, Nov 2 (Reuters) The Nikkei share average slid 0.57 percent on Thursday as investors punished shares of technology firms such as TDK Corp. after similar stocks fell in U.S. trade.

The Nikkei was down 104.28 points at 16,270.98 as of 0007 GMT. The broader TOPIX index was down 0.5 percent at 1,614.64.
