Modi, his team visit Pudong SEZ

Gandhinagar, Nov 2 (UNI) Chinese Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Pudong's chairman Zang Endi today evinced keen interest in bilateral relations between Gujarat and Sanghai ports for mutual all-round development.

Mr Zang held a meeting with leading Gujarati industrialists, led by Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived in Pudong today.

He appreciated the industrial progress made by Gujarat, an official release here said today.

Mr Modi is leading the 35-member delegation of businessmen on a five-day visit to Singapore and China, where he arrived yesterday.

Mr Modi and his delegation also visited the Urban Planning Centre and Ginkao Export Promotion Zone to study the infrastucture and other facilities developed by the Chinese.

The delegation also discussed the possibilties of joint ventures between Shanghai and Gujarat for various businesses.

The Chief Minister also met Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), bankers and real estate developers to explore the bilateral business opportunities with Gujarat, the release added.
