Man commits suicide

Anand, Nov 2 (UNI) A man committed suicide by consuming poison at Vasad, 18 km from here, after his wife deserted him, police said.

The deceased, identified as Rangatsinh Raisinh Gohil (35), had a quarrel with his wife Leelaben yesterday. When she left him in the evening, Gohil, overcame with grief, drank poison. He was later rushed to a private hospital in a critical condition at Anand, where he succumbed this morning, police sources added.

A case has been registered by Vasad police.
