Express Group signs content pact with Economist
New Delhi, Nov 2: To enrich the content in its newspapers and websites, Indian Express Group today signed an agreement with The Economist wherein the former will publish content, including special branded pages and supplements, from the latter.
The page will offer global content, including its widely respected Economist Surveys, from The Economist on an exclusive basis for Indian readers.
'Today, in an increasingly globalised world, it is not enough for our newspapers to bring our readers the coverage of what is happening within the country,'' Indian Express Group CEO Shekhar Gupta said.
As the Indian business and entrepreneurial mind becomes more global, it needs wisdom and information on what is happening around the world, and quickly, he added.
Speaking on the partnership, he said, ''Given the Express Group's decades-long experience of upright and independent journalism, The Economist was the natural partner for us.''
