Bangladeshi arrested for overstaying

Madikeri, Karnataka, Nov 2 (UNI) A Bangladesh citizen has been arrested on the charge of overstaying in the country, yesterday.

According to police, Mohamed Hasim Tulakdar, a native of Cholkali village in Chottagray district of Bangladesh, had come to the picturesque Kodagu district with a tourist visa valid till June 16 to attend the funeral of his Indian wife Sahin's mother. However, he had neither extended his visa nor returned to Bangladesh since then.

Tulakdar was later remanded to judicial custody by a magistrate.
