Army to try new methods to tackle fratricide : Antony
Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 2 (UNI) In view of the rising number of fratricide and suicides in the armed forces, the Indian Army is trying 'new methods' to address the problems of soldiers and stress.
This was disclosed by Defence Minister A K Antony during a chat with newspersons at Indira Bhavan, the headquarters of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee.
Mr Antony said he had discussed the issue with army commanders and they were trying to resolve the problem through new methods.
According to reports, seven fratricides were reported in one month, forcing the Army to deploy more counsellors to certain areas where such cases occurred.
