21 officials of engineering dept suspended
Srinagar, Nov 2: Jammu and Kashmir Government has suspended 21 officials of the engineering department for their unauthorised absence from duty, an official spokesman said today.
He said Minister of State for Roads and Buildings Mohammad Khalil Bandh during his surprise inspection of various engineering wings found 21 officials of various wings of the eingeering department absent.
The minister gave on spot direction for the suspension of these officials which included 6 employees of Publc Health Engineering (PHE) Mechanical division, 7 employees of PHE Rural Mechanical division, 5 officials of PHE Material and Procurement Division and 3 officials of PHE Mechanical South Circle of Srinagar city.
Mr Bandh has directed the Chief Engineer concerned to initiate disciplinary action against all these officials and ensure punctuality and regularity of employees.
More than one hundred government officials of different deparments have been suspended for their unauthorised absence from duty during the past three months.
