Two-wheel riders exempted for 15 days from helmet rule

Mysore, Nov 1 (UNI) The Mysore City Police Commissioner Praveen Sood today issued an orders to exempt for 15 days the compulsory wearing of helmets by two wheelers.

Speaking to media persons he said though the State government had notified implementation the helmet rule by making wearing of helmets compulsory for two wheeler riders from today, the exemption was given in view to provide awarness to riders on safety aspects.

From November 16 the those who ride two wheelers without wearing a helmet would be fined Rs 100 for first offence and Rs 300 for repeated offence, he said.
