TRS MLAs, workers arrested
Hyderabad, Nov 1 (UNI) Eight Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) MLAs and more than 300 party workers were arrested in Telagana districts while participating in the bandh announced by party Chief K Chandrasekhara Rao to observe the state Formation Day as 'Telangana Betrayal Day', today.
Police said MLAs E Rajendar, Captain Laxmikanth and K Eswar were arrested along with party workers while staging dharna to protest against the government's negligence on the development of the region. The arrested were released immediately.
Dr Nagesh, MLA and associates were arrested in Nalgonda district, and TRS Legislative Party leader Vijayarama Rao was arrested in Warnagal district. Mr Ravinder Reddy MLA and party men were arrested in Nizamabad while halting state-owned buses at the bus depots.
In Khammam, the agitation turned violent when agitators stoned busses.
