Teacher turn barber in Udaipur

Jaipur, Nov 1 (UNI) Three school teachers in Udaipur landed in police custody on the charge of forcefully administering a hair cut on students and beating up those who resisted the trimming exercise by the teacher-turned-barbers.

The school management has dismissed five teachers, including the school principal, after the incident came to light.

According to police sources the incident was reported at the Guru Nanak Senior secondary School at Shastri Circle.

The police acted on a complaint in this regard from the VIIIth standard student Devesh Sahu. The police also got the statements of students Shahank Sahu, Chirag Agarwal and Krishna Vasihst recorded.

According to the statements of the students the teachers called out about 60 students from Class VI - XII to the lawn of the school who have grown their hairs and began to chop off their hair with scissors. Those who refused to undergo the hair cut by the teachers were beaten up and given a punishment of 100 push ups.

The school management has terminated the services of five teachers in this connection including the school principal while three of them vice principal Indu khosla, teacher Dheeraj Chhajed and Firdoz Khan were taken into police custody.
