Silver cache in unclaimed house
Rajgarh (MP), Nov 1: Silver pieces and sticks weighing about a quintal, besides 800 coins -- roughly costing Rs 17 lakh -- have been found concealed on the terrace of an unclaimed house that was being demolished in this district's Sarangpur township, the police said.
Houseowner Motilal Soni was murdered late on November 25, 2001 by unidentified ruffians. At that time, the police seized Rs 7 lakh, about 1.75 kg gold and more than 1.5 quintals of silver.
The house, in Sarangpur's Patwa Badi locality, suddenly caught fire last Friday and and the administration decided to demolish it.
The demolition was carried out on Monday and a police force has been stationed.
