Salesman from Kerala stabbed to death

Dubai, Nov 1 (UNI) A salesman from Kerala, working in a stationery shop in the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah, was stabbed to death when he tried to foil a robbery attempt.

The body of Biran Koya, 40, with 17 stab wounds, after the incident yesterday, was discovered in a pool of blood by two Indian children who went to the shop for buying stationery.

Police arrested a Saudi man who was found wearing bloodstained clothes on suspicion, Arab News reported.

Koya is survived by two daughters and a son in India. He had been working in Saudi Arabia for the past 15 years.
