Sales surge for Hyundai in October
Chennai, Nov 1 (UNI) Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), sold a total of 26,110 vehicles in the month of October, comprising 18,603 units in the domestic market and 7,507 units in the overseas market.
The domestic sales in October marked a growth of 18 per cent over the same month last year, a company release here said.
HMIL, India's second largest car manufacturer and the largest exporter of passenger cars, has maintained its leadership position by shipping out its 300,000th export car in Chennai recently.
The company had achieved this milestone in a time span of less than seven years, beginning in December 1999, making it not only the largest exporter of passenger cars but also achieving this distinction in the shortest time span, the release said.
