Russia objects to Europe's draft Iran resolution

MOSCOW, Nov 1 (Reuters) Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said today that Moscow would not support a draft UN sanctions resolution on Iran proposed by European states, Russian news agencies reported.

''We cannot support those measures which in fact aim to isolate Iran from the outside world, including the isolation of the people who are charged with leading negotiations on the nuclear programme,'' news agencies quoted Lavrov as saying after being asked about his attitude to the European draft resolution.
