Rajagopal is new NPA Director

New Delhi, Nov 1 (UNI) Dr G S Rajagopal, Special Secretary (Internal Security) in the Union Home Ministry, is the new Director of the National Police Academy, Hyderabad.

He assumed charge of his new responsibility yesterday.

Dr Rajagopal, a 1971 batch of the Indian Police Service officer from Rajasthan cadre, succeeds Mr Kamal Kumar.

Home ministry sources said here today that Dr Rajagopal would continue to work as Special Secretary (Internal Security) till his successor is appointed.

He had earlier worked as Director, Rajasthan Police Academy.
