Miss Universe to sashay ramp for AIDS awareness
Panaji, Nov 1: Newly crowned Miss Universe Zuleyka Rivera will sashay the catwalk along with 13 other international models at a hotel on the picturesque Baga beach in North Goa on Friday as part of her campaign to spread awareness about HIV/AIDS.
The models will showcase US-based Indian-born designer Sanjana Jon's summer collection.
Using fashion as powerful tool to make people aware about the fatal disease, the Puerto Rico's beauty queen has chosen ''Get tested for AIDS. It is in fashion'' as her campaign slogan.
Ms Rivera will also meet HIV infected children on her arrival here tomorrow.
The reigning Miss Universe will visit the world heritage monuments at Old Goa before walking the ramp. India's renowned DJ Pujush will set the audience throbbing from the dance floor with his sizzling remixes after the fashion show.
FTV will telecast the show, which is being sponsored by Kingfisher, Herald newspaper and Riviera (Chaetage Indage).
