Mah CM Deshmukh completes 2 years in office
Mumbai, Nov 01: Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh has completed two years in the office today.
Mr Deshmukh took over as Chief Minister after a controversy erupted over who would be the chief minister as the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) had more number of seats. However, Mr Deshmukh, a leader of Latur in Marathwada, succeeded in tackling the situation and completed two years in office.
He was also the chief minister of the state earlier for three and half years from 1992-2003. In all, Mr Deshmukh has now completed five and half years as Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
He,

behind

who
was
the
chief
minister
for
consecutive
11
years
and
Union
Agriculture
Minister
Sharad
Pawar
who
was
the
chief
minister
for
total
six
and
half
years.
