Information day observed in Manipur

Imphal, Nov 1 (UNI) Information and Public Relations day was observed here at the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) here today.

State Information Minister T N Haokip conferred the Journalist's award to editor of Ireibak Irengbam Arun for his commendable writings on national integration and communal harmony. The works of the editor was also displayed.

Mr Haokip said the journalist fraternity should try to live upto the expectations of the people.

Speaking on the occasion commissioner-Information Mr Devshekhar said information department of the North Eastern Council has been opened in Imphal and the state information department would be upgraded with computers.
