BSP makes profit

Bokaro, Nov 1 (UNI) Bokaro Steel Plant (BSP) has made a net profit of Rs 5266 crore in the first half (April-October) of current fiscal in comparison to Rs 4884.56 crore during the last fiscal 2005-06.

Communication head of BSP Basant Kumar Thakur here said the first half of the current fiscal was full of achievments for the plant adding many capital repair were done in different units of the plant.

Mr Thakur said work on projects to enhance the production to 6.5 million tonne were being done adding main projects included coal dust injection in 2nd and 3rd burning furnace, rebuilding of coke oven battery, establishment of HCL regneration plant, construction of cast house slag granulation plant and modernisation of C R M K tandom mill.
