ASI injured in naxal attack
Jagdalpur, Nov 1 (UNI) An Assistant Sub-Inspector of the CRPF was injured when naxals attacked a police team last night at Lendra village in Chhattisgarh's Dantewara district, police said today.
CRPF jawans from temporary police camp in Chermal reached Lendra village last night while patrolling and halted in the village. The ultras attacked the jawans late in the night and both sides exchanged fire.
ASI Ramanand Singh was injured in the attack.
In a separate incident, a naxal was killed in a police encounter that followed when a police team was attacked by the ultras. Led by by Narayanpur Superintendent of Police P Sunder Ramu, the police team had reached Vaasing Bahar village yesterday when the attack was carried out.
