13 people killed in road accident in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Nov 1: At least 13 people were killed and 62 injured, when two buses collided head on at Raiganj in Sirajganj district of northern Bangladesh, police said today.

The accident occurred when a Rangpur-bound bus from Dhaka lost control and rammed into a Pabna-bound bus from Bogra at about 1115 hrs (local time), initial reports said.

The casualty figure may go up as some of the injured were critical, local people said.

The injured passengers were rushed to different hospitals and clincs in Sirajganj, Bogra and Raiganj.
