Vishnu Sai elected BJP's Chhatisgarh President
Raipur, Oct 31 (UNI) Tribal leader Vishnu Dev Sai has been elected unopposed President of BJP's Chhattisgarh unit.
BJP's central observer for organisational elections Ramdas Agrawal today announced the election of Mr Sai and 11 other members to the party's national executive.
Mr Sai, who represents Raigarh seat in the Lok Sabha, was appointed as state party chief few months ago after the party had sacked the then state president Shiv Pratap Singh, who had publicly criticised the functioning of the party's government and its ministers.
BJP leaders Mr Lakhiram Agrawal, Mr Baliram Kashyap, Mr Dilip Singh Judeo, Mr Nandkumar Sai, Mr Shiv Pratap Singh, Mr Ramesh Bais, Mrs Karuna Shukla, Mr Punnulal Mohile, Mr Tarachand Sahu, Mr Sohan Potai and Mr Guharam Ajgale have been elected members of the BJP national executive.
Talking to newsmen here, state BJP President Vishnu Dev Sai said his priority would be to further strengthen coordination between the state government and the party organisation and to work for the betterment of the state and its people.
