Huge cache of arms, ammunition seized near LoC

Srinagar, Oct 31: Security forces have seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition, including pistols and grenades, near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's northern sector late last night, an official spokesman said today.

During a search operation, he said security forces seized 16 pistols, 32 magazines, 750 rounds, 120 Pika rounds, 57 hand grenades and 35 UBGL grenades at the Maidan Post near the LoC in north Kashmir's Baramulla district.

The spokesman said militants might have dumped the arms near the LoC during previous infiltration bids.
