Three die in house collapse

Chennai, Oct 27 (UNI) Three members of a family were crushed to death when a portion of their house collapsed due to rains at Poomedu near Sholavandan in Madurai district of Tamil Nadu today.

Reports received at Police headquarters here said the incident occurred at around 0630 hrs when the victims were sleeping.

The family head Karupannan and one of his sons Iyyanar suffered injuries and were admitted to Sholavandan government hospital.

The deceased were identified as Karupannan's wife Seenu Vasuki (40), his son Rajasekar (10) and daughter Sangeetha (six), police said.
