Sensex opens strong by 44 pts on buying activity
Mumbai, Oct 27: The Bombay Stock Exchange today opened in the green by 44 points at 12,741.85 on strong global cues. Besides, the buying that started yesterday continued its momentum today.
Currently the BSE sensex is 121.44 points at 12,819.85.
Major sectoral indices on the BSE are all trading in the green led by the PSU sector which is up by 1.34 per cent and the tech sector is up by 1.51 per cent.
The pack of gainers is led by Bharti Airtel and followed by Reliance Communications, Grasim Industries, Reliance Energy, Dr Reddy's lab, NTPC, Maruti Udyog, ITC, Tata Motors and Infosys all up between 1.33 per cent to 3.33 per cent.
Besides, the losers are ONGC, which is down by 32 per cent. Hero Honda, TCS, Hindalco, Tata Steel, L&T, Cipla and HLL are all down between 0.02 per cent to 32.73 per cent.
