Supply inspector arrested for accepting bribe

Patna, Oct 26: Sleuths of State vigilance bureau caught a supply inspector Umesh Rajak red handed when he was accepting Rs 3000 bribe from an owner of public distribution shop in Khagaria district.

Additional Director General of Police (ADG) of State vigilance bureau Neelmani said a special team was constituted to nab Mr Rajak after the complaint was lodged by Shyam Sunder Singh in this connection.

Mr Rajak had demanded money from Mr Singh in connection with restoration of the license of his shop, which was earlier suspended.

The arrested officer was being brought here for interrogation, he added.
