Three children drown in ponds

Krishnagar, Oct 25(UNI) Altogether three teenagers,including two girls, drowned in separate incidents in West Bengal's Nadia district today.

Police said two girls--Santana Mondal(15) and Neelasri Ray (14) drowned when they were bathing in a pond in Punyanagar Chapra village under Dhantala Police station.

They were rushed to the Ranaghat Sub-Divisional hospital where they were declared brought dead, police added.

In another incident Subol Singh(13), a student of standard six, also drowned while bathing in a pond in Vadhuri village under Nadia's Taherpur police station.
