Skeletons recovered, two persons kidnapped
Agartala, Oct 25 (UNI) Security forces today recovered two skeletons from a jungle at Singnala area under Salama Police Station (PS) in Tripura's Dhalai district.
Acting on a tip off police launched a search operation at a jungle near Salbagan and recovered two skulls, few bones and some decomposed wearing apparels from the spot, the surces said. The skeletons were sent to the Government Medical College, Agartala for Post Mortem.
The sources further added that they suspect the skeletons to be about two-months old.
A case under section 157 has been registered. Investigation is on.
Meanwhile, two people were kidnapped in two separate incidents at Khowai sub-division in Tripura's West district yesterday.
Police sources said that Biswajit Debbarma (19) was abducted by Bangladeshi miscreants while he was working at his paddy field yesterday.
The incident has triggered tension along the border.
In a separate incident, insurgents of banned militant outfit National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT), Biswamohan faction, abducted a jeep driver, Pranal Modak, from Behalabari area under Khowai sub-division yesterday.
Assam Rifles has started massive manhunt operation to rescue the kidnapped driver.
The Border Security Force (BSF) has been asked to keep a strict vigil, along the international border, to stop militants from crossing over to Bangladesh, police sources said.
