Six inter-state gangsters, including 3 cop killers, arrested
New Delhi, Oct 25 (UNI) Police today arrested six inter-state gangsters, including three carrying rewards and wanted for last month's killing of a Rajasthan Police Constable, from Kanjhawala area in North-West Delhi.
The criminals were on their way to eliminate a rival at a Jhajjar (Haryana) court when they were arrested at about 0800 hrs at Kanjhawala near Rama Vihar under the Sultanpuri police station, DCP ((Crime) Neeraj Thakur told mediapersons.
''Four pistols -- three 9mm and one .30 bore, -- a revolver and a country-made pistol along with a large quantity of ammunition were recovered from the possession of the accused who were riding on two motorbikes when they were apprehended. Among the weapons is also a service revolver whose 'ownership' we are trying to ascertain as its marking have been erased.'' Of these six, gang leader Sudesh (27), Manoj (26) and Vijaypal were involved in the September 6 killing of a Rajasthan Police Constable in Jaipur this year. While Sudesh was carrying a Rs 50,000 reward, announced by the Rajasthan Police, Manoj and Vijaypal carried a reward of Rs 25,000 each.
Of the other three, Karambir (19), Surender (20) and Deepak (19), the last two are fresh recruits of the gang.
''During interrogation, they said they were on their way to Jhajjar to finish off Sandeep -- one of the members of their rival Randhawa gang who was to appear in a court today.'' All the six hailed from Gurgaon and Faridabad and had been living in Rama Vihar for the past month, he added.
