Nitish greets people on Id

Patna, Oct 25: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today greeted the people of the state on the occasion of holy Id-Ul-Fitre and exhorted all to reaffirm their pledge and commitment to peace,love, hormony and spiritual oneness.

Cleansing of body and purification of mind through observance of rigorous fast during the month of Ramzan has universal validity, he said and added that celebration of Id-Ul-Fitre at marking the conclusion of Ramzan month reminds everyone of piety, commpassion and feeling of brotherhood among mankind, crossing all barriers of ethnicity and religion.

Through giving alms to the poor and the fellow beings who are less fortunate than average people, the festival inspires people to be kind and sympathetic to them, Mr Kumar noted.
