Labourer drowned in river Kapila

Mysore, Oct 25 (UNI) A labourer drowned in river Kapila in Nanjangud town in Mysore district of Karnataka after he ventured into the waters for a swim.

Police said the victim Ramprakash, a resident of Yelagumba village in neighbouring Chamarajanagar district, was working in a hotel. After offering prayers in a local temple, he along with his friend Siddamaly went for a swim in river Kapila. While Ramprakash met with a watery grave, his friend swam back to safety.
