ITR to hold seminar on Range Technology

Balasore, Oct 25: Massive preparation is underway for holding three-day national conference on ''Range Technology'' by the Integrated Test Range (ITR), an organisation of Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO), here from November 28.

About 200 delegates comprising scientists, technocrats and industrialists of the concerned field across the globe would participate in the conference, official sources said.

The conference would provide a forum for addressing the issues of leading technologies available in the World in the field of Test and Evaluation besides harnessing the best manpower related to range technology into a platform.

This apart various issues of range systems and their applications will be discussed in detail in the conference which would also focus on Range Instrumentation systems, Real Time Software, Safety, Communication, Target Presentation, Detection&Ranging, Mission Planning&Management and a host of features related to Test Range.

While recognising the impact of Test and Evaluation on every facet of the development and role of industries in the Defence Sector, the conference would also feature an exhibition showcasing the products related to range technology.

President APJ Abdul Kalam is scheduled to visit the ITR base during the occasion, sources said.
