CCC plans to hike members
Chennai, Oct 25 (UNI) The Chennai Corporate Club (CCC) is planning to increase its membership strength from 4,500 to 12,000 in the next 18 months.
Talking to reporters here today CCC CEO V Jeyachandran and Managing Director M Kangeyan said with an affordable membership fee ranging from Rs 25,000 to Rs one lakh on various types of packages, the CCC was confident of achieving the desired target.
About the expansion plans, Mr Kangeyan said the CCC would have its property in Goa, Yercaud, Pondicherry and Munnar in the next couple of years either by JV or own.
The CCC's new projects at the tourist resort of Ooty and Kodaikanal would become operational by next month. In both the places the CCC had taken a sick unit on lease and had invested about Rs 3.5 crore. The project at Ooty, spread over 1.2 acres, was located near the Botanical Garden and in Kodaikanal it was located about one km away from the lake.
"We already have a tie-up in Goa with Royal Goan Beach Club (RGBC) wherein the CCC members could use the facilities of the club and vice-versa. But we would like to have our own property in Goa", he said.
Since RGBC was an affiliate of Resorts Condominium International (RCI), CCC would market the products of the RCI in India through RGBC and an agreement was signed to this effect recently, he added.
