A cattle smuggler shot dead by BSF

Barrackpore, Oct 25 (UNI) The Border Security Force shot dead a cattle smuggler at Tarali near the Indo-Bangladesh Border under Swarupnagar police station area in North 24 Pargnas yesterday.

Police said the BSF opened fire, chasing the cattle smugglers, who were crossing the unguarded border to Bangladesh.

The BSF has seized four cows while rest of the cattle crossed the border. Smuggling of cattle, mainly cows, to Bangladesh has become a regular affair and increased during last couple of months in view of Id-Ul-Fitr, police said.
