7 arrested in connection with gangrape

Aizawl, Oct 25 (UNI) Seven people were arrested today in connection with alleged gangrape on two women at Edenthar locality in the capital.

Police said about ten youths had allegedly gangraped two women near Chanmari cemetery on Monday night.

The taxi driver reported the incident to village defence party, who in turn reported the matter to the police.

Police is investigating into the matter.
