US forces search Shi'ite TV in Baghdad
BAGHDAD, Oct 23 (Reuters) US forces were searching a Baghdad office of a television station linked to the largest Shi'ite party in Prime Minister's Nuri al-Maliki ruling coalition today, witnesses and employees said.
They said US forces, backed by armoured vehicles, entered the offices of al-Furat television station late today and were searching employees and armed guards protecting the station. Al-Furat is linked to the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq, SCIRI.
The US military said it had no information.
Al-Furat was continuing its broadcast as the search was underway.
