Toll in faction fued mounts to 4

Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, Oct 24 (UNI) The toll in the clash between Congress and TDP workers in Yerukalacheruvu Village of this district rose to four with a Congress worker succumbing to his injuries today The two groups, one owing allegiance to Kurnool Congress MP Kotla Suryaprakash Reddy and the other to TDP Leader K E Krishnamurthy, clashed yesterday with lethal weapons, leaving three dead and six injured, police said.

The deceased was identified as 35-year-old K Kavali of the Congress.

Police has increased security to avert recurrence of any fresh incidents in the politically polarised district of the Rayalaseema Region.

The two groups had been nurturing enmity since the recent local body elections and were keen on settling political scores, police added.
