Sub-inspector, maid 'kidnapped'
Lucknow, Oct 24 (UNI) In a bizzare incident, a sub-inspector posted in the Uttar Pradesh capital has allegedly been ''kidnapped'' alongwith his maid servant.
The matter came to light when the kin of SI R N Dwiwedi, posted at the Aminabad police station, lodged an FIR alleging his abduction on October 16.
The SI, who is separated from his wife, was living in Krishnanagar locality here with his maid Kiran. Kiran also went missing alongwith the police officer.
Abhishek, the SI's nephew, said an FIR alleging kidnap had been registered at the Krishnagar police station.
He claimed it could not merely be a missing case as all the suitcases and almirahs at the residence of R N Dwiwedi were found broken and valuables missing.
The SI, a native of Fatehpur district, was fighting a legal battle with his wife for seperation. He has two sons.
Meanwhile, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ajay Shanker Rai said the police was investigating the matter after the family members lodged the case of kidnapping of the cop.
Mr Rai said Kiran's husband would be interrogated.
