Pre-budget economic survey to be conducted in J

Srinagar, Oct 24 (UNI) A pre-budget economic survey would soon be conducted in Jammu and Kashmir on the pattern followed at the national level.

Finance, Planning, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Tariq Hamid Karra directed for launching the economic survey so that it is presented as a part of the state's annual budget.

He asked the Department of Economic and Statistics to conduct the survey and complete it expeditiously.

A high-level meeting here chaired by Mr Karra reviewed the steps taken in this direction and to seek views for a broad-based coverage of the economic survey report and also to improve the data.
