New York bus terminal shut on bomb threat

New York, Oct 24: Police evacuated New York's largest bus terminal yesterday after a man on a bus claimed to have a bomb.

''There is a man on a bus claiming to have a bomb but there's no one else on the bus but him,'' a New York Police Department spokeswoman said.

She said the incident began about 2.30 p.m. (2200 hrs IST).
