MLA's murder: Pachauri flays BJP
Raisen, MP, Oct 24 (UNI) Expressing concern over the recent assassination of ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator Kishorilal Verma and his wife, Union Minister of State for Personnel Suresh Pachauri today placed a questionmark on Madhya Pradesh's law and order situation.
''In the wake of the double homicide, certain MLAs have raised questions about their security. That is sufficient to place a questionmark on the state government,'' he told mediapersons in this district's Ratanpur village.
The minister was campaigning in favour of Congress candidate Rajashri Singh who is contesting the October 30 bypoll to the Vidisha Lok Sabha constituency.
''The Harda municipal election result going in the Congress' favour is an indication that the public is disillusioned with the BJP and the Vidisha outcome will also be in the Congress' favour,'' he claimed.
Mr Pachauri was welcomed by a three-km motorbike rally. He campaigned in more than two dozen villages from Raisen to Begumganj.
