Infiltrator shot dead in Sriganganagar

Jaisalmer, Oct 24 (UNI) Border Security Force jawans shot dead an infiltrator trying to enter the Indian territory at the international border in Sriganganagar.

According to BSF sources, jawans saw an infiltrator trying to cross over into the Indian side near pillar 273 Kota check post last evening. The infiltrator did not pay heed to the jawans' warnings and continued to climb the fencing, which forced the jawans to gun him down.

Senior BSF officials reached the site and security has been tightened on the borders following the incident.
