Id to be celebrated in Delhi tomorrow

New Delhi, Oct 23 (UNI) Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in the national capital tomorrow.

Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid Syed Ahmed Bukhari in a release said since the Id moon was sighted late tonight, the festival would be celebrated tomorrow.

Earlier, Shahi Imam of Fatehpuri Masjid Mufti M Mukkaram Ahmed said the moon was not sighted today and the festival would be celebrated on Wednesday.

He, however, issued a statement later saying that the festival would be held tomorrow instead of Wednesday as eye witnesses had sighted the new moon late tonight.
