Eid-Ul-Fitre celebrated in Nagaland

Kohima, Oct 24: The Muslim community of Nagaland today celebrated their biggest festival Eid Ul Fitre throughout the state by offering Namaz in their respective Idgah maidans.

The main function was held at the Assam Rifles ground in Kohima, where Namaz was administered by Maulana Badrudduja Qasimi, Pesh Imam of Jami Mosjid, Kohima, which was attended by over seven thousand devotees.

After the Namaz was offered, people exchanged greetings. A heavy shower during the offering of Namaz slightly dampened the Eid spirit.

Similar Namaz was also offered in Dimapur, Mokokchung, Mon, Zunheboto and Wokah.
