Eid celebrated with religious fervour in Bihar
Patna, Oct 24 (UNI) Bihar Governor R S Gavai and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar extended warm greetings and good wishes to the people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr which was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety in the state.
Mr Kumar visited Gandhi Maidan and greeted people after the special mass prayer of Eid. Prayer was also offered at the main mosque, the Jama Masjid, in the state capital.
Later in a message, Mr Kumar hoped that the festival would bring prosperity in the life of people.
The Governor also greeted the people on this occasion and appealed to all to celebrate Eid by spreading the ''message of love among mankind''.
The special prayers for Eid-ul-Fitr marked the end of the holy month of Ramzan.
Muslims clad in colourful new outfits, offered prayers in mosques across the state in the morning and greeted each other on the occasion of Eid.
