Hyderabad, Oct 24 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Governor Rameshwar Thakur and Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today extended warm greetings and good wishes to Muslims on Id-ul-Fitr.

In a message, the Chief Minister hoped that the festival would strengthen the bonds of love, compassion and mutual understanding among the people and bring new cheer and prosperity in their lives.

The eternal values preached by Prophet Mohammed were very much significant and relevant to every generation since times immemorial, he said, adding the holy month of Ramzad signified will power of man to attain self control over his mind and body and stood as a symbol of universal love, selfless service and spirtual maturity in the mainstream of life.

Observation of Ramzan fast was a pathway towards purity of soul in a healthy body with compassionate mental faculties, Mr Reddy noted, adding ''those who have observed fast all these days may be physically bit exhausted but enjoy more happiness and feel spiritually uplifted''.
