9 Naga students leave for Israel under Work Plan

Kohima Oct 24: Nine Naga Students, out of ten selected, have left for Israel to undergo one year Post Graduate Diploma Course under Indo-Israel Work Plan Agreement, 2006 at Garnot International Agri Studies Centre, Israel.

According to official sources here today out of ten students, one student is awaiting for visa to leave for Israel, while the nine others left on Sunday last. The students, after completion of the course, would be working under various projects earmarked by the State Government of Nagaland under the Agriculture and allied departments.

It may be mentioned here that earlier, both the Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition had written to the Union Government to clear the visas so as to enable the students to pursue their studies.
